Small Leaf Evergreen Maple

One of the few evergreen Maples. It has small lobed leaves, that get more rounded with age, the thick foliage doesn’t get leaf burn even in the south. Hardy to 20, likes water, but not too thirsty once established. Gets the classic winged seeds in the fall. Gets 20’ or more, slow tight rounded habit. Can be used for bonsai. Especially nice for those who live in warmer climates, because it doesn't need any chill. I'm growing it fine in Hawaii. The first one I saw was in Balboa Park in San Diego, it looked so good, I was sold on it instantly, the seeds brought back fond memories of my childhood on the East Coast. I grew these from cuttings, and I didn't even know you could grow maples from cuttings.
