Evergreen shrubby perennial to 2’ by 4’ wide. Attractive medium broad green leaves are 2” with a toothed edge. Deep indigo-blue flower cluster at tips almost all year in warm climates. Best in full sun with good drainage, dislikes wet clay soil. Great low filler for color. Can re-seed in the garden, but nicely. This plant was introduced into California in 1906. Does well in the tropics as well, don't know its full hardiness, would probably go deciduous in the winter in colder climates.
