 Red Hot Poker Vine

A rare tropical vine with long red-orange flowers in long horizontal spikes about 8" long. The foliage is leathery, dark green, slightly reddish when new.  The vine climbs with small adventitious roots and can be aggressive in the right climate (tropical). It's easily pruned to any shape, and can be pruned as a shrub. It's from the West Indies, only hardy to 50 F. It grows well in Hawaii and South Florida. Unusual and choice.
