Plumbago auriculata ‘White’

White Plumbago

A pure white form of this extremely easy to grow mounding perennial shrub. Full sun, any soil. Gets about 5’ tall and wide, would be stunning on on a bank. Very drought tolerant once established. Can be cut to the ground in the spring or summer to rejuvenate occasionally. The species is normally blue. Will tolerate only a light frost, but even in a hard freeze it will usually come back for the roots in milder states. Don't be afraid to prune, I think they look better if cut to the ground every few years, just to keep them looking fresh and get rid of all the old woody growth. In cold climates, cuttings can easily be overwintered.
