 Black Ilima

A Hawaiian native, related to Abutilons and Hibiscus. It has mallow-like (flat five petaled) golden yellow flower. Blooms year round in warm climates, in colder climates it is summer bloomer. A perennial in the tropics, does well in Southern California, bit can be used as an annual anywhere. Can get several feet tall and wide, up to 3'. Full sun, any soil, easy to grow. The stems are very dark providing a great contrast. Flowers are used in lei making.
