Trailing Blue Sage

Bright blue upright clusters of flowers above attractive green foliage. Good in high shade to full sun with regular water. Hardy to 20 degrees. Grows about 2’ tall by 3’ wide or more. Excellent ground cover. Blooms almost year round, best in the warmer months. From high elevation regions of Mexico and Guatemala, does well in San Francisco (cooler climate), but also in Southern CA in part shade with regular water. Here in Hawaii it thrives and rapidly covers large areas and makes a good weed suppressant as well as a stunningly beautiful plant.
The first time I saw this plant it was growing as a mass planting under tall Eucalyptus in San Francisco and has been a favorite even since.
