Salvia dorisiana

from 6.00

 Fruit Scented Sage

The winter and early spring blooming large fuzzy pink flowers would be a good enough reason to grow this plant, but the fuzzy bright lime green foliage is also fragrant like tropical fruit. Blooms more in cooler climates. It reminds some of Juicy-fruit Gum. Grows 4’ to 6’, best in part sun, regular water. Easy to grow, but quite tender to cold, best to grow in frost free areas. From Honduras. Does well in California and Hawaii. Can be used as an herbal tea, the flavor is like a ripe melon.
