Periwinkle Kings Mantle

Similar to T. batescombii, but with blue-lavender colored trumpets, all year long in tropical climates, blooms in the warm season elsewhere. Gets 20" tall and grows up to 4' across. Can be cut to the ground for clean up any time. Winter dormant in areas with frost. In colder climates can be grown as an annual or overwintered in a pot somewhere kept above freezing, a basement or covered porch are good picks. Full sun or part shade. Easy to grow, not picky about soil, great spilling out of containers. Responds well to fertilizer. From tropical Africa. Thanks to Worldwide Exotics in LA where we first got this plant, very cool.
