Ficus microcarpa var. crassifolia (upright form)

Upright Wax Ficus

Small waxy green round leaves accompany small, round fruit, making this plant an excellent choice as a tropical bonsai specimen. It thrives well when grown as a houseplant under bright, indirect light conditions. In regions where frost is not a concern, it can be successfully cultivated outdoors, planted directly in the ground, and has the potential to grow to 10 feet or more in height. This plant responds very well to pruning, allowing for easy shaping and maintenance. It prefers bright light or full sun for optimal growth. The variety described here is an upright form, adding vertical interest to any setting.
