Dendrobium nobile (yellow)

This Asian orchid selection has a delicate light yellow color. It can be grown in bark or mounted on trees in frost-free areas. It performs best with consistent moisture and higher humidity. Flowers develop along the sides of older, often leafless stems and are typically produced more profusely when the plant experiences a bit of stress. The species is native to southern China (including Tibet), the Himalayas (India, Bangladesh, Assam, Nepal, Bhutan), and Indochina (Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, Vietnam), and it is also reportedly naturalized in Hawaii.
