Double Pink Bougainvillea

This double selection has fully double pink bracts.

Double Bougainvilleas have smaller bract clusters for a very full and showy presentation, and as a bonus (in some situations) the bracts do not shed and make a mess as regular Bougainvilleas do, older spent flowers can easily be trimmed off.

The vines can reach 10 feet or more in length when given proper support. To encourage a more abundant and consistent blooming cycle, it’s crucial to maintain the plant on the drier side, carefully avoiding excessive watering which can hinder flower production. Looks great trained along a fence or gracefully allowed to spill over a sunny wall. This selection also does well in containers, as well as in hanging baskets. Thriving best in full sun conditions, bougainvilleas requires ample sunlight to produce vibrant and prolific blooms throughout the entire growing season. They thrive in intense heat and sunlight, showing adaptability to virtually any soil type, provided there is good drainage to prevent root issues. Keep in mind that bougainvilleas have sharp thorns, so thoughtful and strategic placement is essential to avoid any potential injuries or damage. While these plants are relatively carefree once mature, younger specimens often benefit from regular fertilizer applications to promote healthy growth and set the stage for a flourishing future.
