A spreading Hawaiian shrub that grows to about 3 feet tall or even taller, and can expand widely up to 15 feet across. The 8-inch leaves are notably fleshy and succulent in texture. Cream-colored flowers feature subtle purple streaks and emit a gentle, light fragrance. These irregularly shaped flowers have five petals arranged on one side and typically grow in small clusters emerging from between the leaves at the ends of the stems. This plant is native to hot, dry coastal regions on most of the Hawaiian islands. It thrives best in full sun exposure.
