Rhododendron vireya (Calahan's Compact Orange) (17)

Compact Orange Malaysian Rhododendron

This selection exhibits a somewhat stiffer, compact, and upright growth habit, featuring tight clusters of vibrant orange flowers. These tropical cloud forest shrubs thrive best in filtered sunlight and require perfect drainage, whether planted in bark or clean cinder substrates. They are sensitive to freezing temperatures and grow best under acidic soil conditions to grow optimally.
