Chamaedorea tepejilote (clumping form)

Mexican Pacaya Palm 

Usually a solitary palm, this is a clumping form. From Mexico, with a tall trunk to 10' or more about 1.5" in caliper. Grow in the shade. When mature enough it forms a hanging inflorescence with an orange colored bract and shiny black seeds. Very attractive. Feather type foliage. Hardy to 28 degrees.
