Chambreyonia macrocarpa

Flame Thrower Palm — New leaves emerge a vivid, bright red. A stunning solitary palm featuring a thick, robust trunk and an emerald-green crownshaft. The crown is substantial yet sparse, typically carrying only 6–10 fronds at a time. Broad leaflets and the elegant curve of the rachis (midrib) enhance its graceful appearance. Requires frost-free conditions and performs best in tropical climates. Native to New Caledonia, it establishes most reliably when given some shade during its early growth. Large bright red seeds are showy, but can be messy.
