Bougainvillea 'Sunstone White' is a remarkable selection featuring a creamy gold splash variegation that becomes most pronounced during the spring months. The white flower bracts are delicately speckled with hints of pink, adding an extra layer of visual interest. The vines are known to grow impressively long, often reaching 20 feet or more in length when given proper support. To encourage a more abundant and consistent blooming cycle, it’s crucial to maintain the plant on the drier side, carefully avoiding excessive watering which can hinder flower production. Looks great trained along a fence or gracefully allowed to spill over a sunny wall. Thriving best in full sun conditions, bougainvilleas requires ample sunlight to produce vibrant and prolific blooms throughout the entire growing season. They thrive in intense heat and sunlight, showing adaptability to virtually any soil type, provided there is good drainage to prevent root issues. Keep in mind that bougainvilleas have sharp thorns, so thoughtful and strategic placement is essential to avoid any potential injuries or damage. While these plants are relatively carefree once mature, younger specimens often benefit from regular fertilizer applications to promote healthy growth and set the stage for a flourishing future.
