Neoregelia schultsiana 'Fireball'

 Fireball Bromeliad, Compact Red Neoregelia

A small stoloniferous bromeliad with bright burgundy red foliage, the color is especially good when grown in the sun. Forms a large clump and looks great grown epiphytically, or as a groundcover. Needs a well drained mix such as in bark. Grown for the foliage, small lavender flowers do bloom in the center cup, but are not super showy. Individual heads are several inches across, clumps can be several feet across.
