Pink Portea

A large bromeliad to 5' tall with a pink and purple flower spike to 6'.  The flowers themselves don’t last long, but the colorful bract lasts up to 6 months. It has an upright habit, with alight green color. Leaf edges and sharply spined. Can be grown in full sun at the coast in California and anywhere in Hawaii and Florida. Needs good drainage, it containers they are usually grown in bark or cinder.
