Signature tropical plants of Hawaii. This is a local selection with broad red foliage with dark green underlay and a brighter leaf margin, the color is really bright. This one may be my favorite red, the color is like red stained glass, it just glows. Foliage is clustered at the top of tall canes. Best in bright shade.  Was a seedling of 'Christmas' from Art Smith. Can be grown in the full sun in the tropics.
