Ti Plant

This selection has long medium narrow foliage. Tall growing with long purple striped coloring. Leaves can be 21" long by 4.5" wide, mature leaves are strongly recurved. Bright shade, or sun. Synonyms: 'Pele's Hair', 'Chocolate Baby', it's apparently a very old variety. It's a real strong grower with a strong upright form. These are tropical foliage plants with tall canes to 4’ or more. Signature plant of the tropics, in the lily family, commonly called Ti (pronounced tee). Bright shade, but can take more sun in the tropics and at the coast in Southern California.
