Evergreen shrubs from Malaysia, with colorful large waxy foliage. Needs fairly tropical conditions to do well. Popular in Hawaii and Florida, but they also seem to do well in some warm microclimates in California. Bright light and high humidity, can grow to 5' tall. A shrubby variety with long narrow weeping brightly colored leaves, with red and yellow, bronzed on the underside. A gap in the leaf with just mid-rib adds to the interest.
