Dancing Lady Hibiscus,  Species Hibiscus

An African species that can grow to 10’ tall with an arching habit. Small but beautiful pendulous flowers are light orangey pink-red and deeply fringed. Native to tropical eastern Africa in Kenya, Tanzania and Mozambique. Popular tropical evergreen shrubs with exotic flowers. They all like full sun and warm conditions, this species like a fair amount of heat to bloom well. Best when slightly dry between waterings, good air circulation and regular feeding. Light frost only.

Coveted by many plant lovers. Very different from most hybrid hibiscus with their huge flowers. There are a number of hybrids with this species as a parent.
