Brazilian Candles Shrub

A tall narrow growing tropical shrub in the Hibiscus family with thick pointed foliage and red flower clusters at the tips. The flowers are small and stay somewhat closed, but are in showy clusters. Tropical, but will tolerate the low 30's F. Full sun or part shade. Brazil. Possibly a hybrid of Pavonia makoyana and Pavonia multiflora from the 19th century, called Pavonia x gledhillii 'Rosea'
