Tropical shrubs from tropical Asia (Thailand, West Indies) and Western Africa (Zaire). These interesting plants are grown for their large colorful flower bracts, this selection has a single white bract with each flower. Related to coffee. Can grow to 10' or more, or can even be grown as a small tree. Full sun, blooms in the summer and fall. Dislikes cold.
