An evergreen tropical fruit tree that can grow up to 20 feet tall, producing large, round orange fruit approximately the size of a tangerine. The fruit features a thin skin and a sweet-tart flesh that is reminiscent of passion fruit in flavor. It is excellent for making jams and jellies without the need for additional pectin, as well as for adding a tropical twist to smoothies. This tree generally takes about 3 to 4 years to bear fruit when grown from seed and produces fruit during the summer months. It is not frost-tolerant and requires consistently warm, tropical conditions to thrive.
