Variegated Firebush

A tropical shrub to 6' or more with showy small tubular red-orange flower clusters that cover the plant in the summer. This form has a light variegation across the whole leaf that makes a colorful contrast overall. Full sun in the tropics and coastal California, in hot, dry areas better with some shade.  Can be grown in pots. Likes rich soil with regular water and feeding, somewhat frost tender. It's from the American tropics and in the coffee family. Really a lovely plant, the colors just glow.
