A common evergreen vine with a unique new twist. The leaves are distinctly cut, resembling a bird’s foot in shape. This versatile plant can grow up to 8 feet tall as a climbing vine but can also be used effectively as a ground cover or allowed to spill gracefully over the edges of containers. It thrives in full sun or partial shade and is easy to grow in any type of soil. After a few years, it produces fragrant, cream-colored, star-like flowers that add a delightful scent to the garden. The foliage can mature into a more rounded leaf shape, but you can prune it regularly to maintain its attractive juvenile form if preferred. This special plant comes from Sean Hogan of Cistus Design Nursery and is named in honor of his mother.
