Frangipani, Plumeria

The classic hawaiian lei flower with fragrant red flowers with a large orange-yellow center, and strong red bands on front and back. Petals are 3" wide, oval, with a round tip, moderately overlapping, with a heavy texture and mild sweet fragrance. These are tropical succulent plants with an open branching structure. This is an exceptional selection with a really long bloom season and lots of flower production. It's probably my favorite plumeria. They love sun, heat, and regular feeding in the summer. Good drainage is essential, keep drier while dormant in the winter. These tropical shrub have thick stems that root easily once the cut ends have formed a skin. They go dormant in the winter even in tropical regions. They are said be slow, but respond well to regular feeding while actively growing.
