Plumeria rubra 'Mele Pa Bowman'
Plumeria rubra 'Mele Pa Bowman'
Frangipani, Plumeria
The classic hawaiian lei flower with large highly fragrant yellow blossoms edged in white. The 4" diameter obovate petals have rounded tips with no overlap. They have a moderate texture and strong citrus scent, but a poor keeping quality. Hybrid or P. obtusa x P. r. 'Celadine'. More evergreen than common plumerias with large glossy deep green leaves. I love this plant, what a great hybrid. These are tropical succulent plants with an open branching structure. They love sun, heat, and regular feeding in the summer. Good drainage is essential, keep drier while dormant in the winter. These tropical shrub have thick stems that root easily once the cut ends have formed a skin. They go dormant in the winter even in tropical regions. They are said be slow, but respond well to regular feeding while actively growing.
