Maxillaria tenuifolia
A small fragrant orchid from Mexico & Honduras. Easy to grow, it has dull red 1.5" flowers with yellow markings, most interesting though is that they smell like coconut, at times really strong. It prefers bright indirect light, good drainage. Keep moist at all times. To propagate, divide pseudobulbs from clumping rhizomes. Does well grown in bark or cinder, but also does well mounted on bark or in a tree. Tolerates cool temperature well, I have grown this one in Southern California outdoors. In Hawaii and Florida it thrives, and off course the greenhouse.
