Cubanola domingensis

Cuban Trumpet Shrub

A small evergreen  tree from the Caribbean, with shiny foliage and hanging white bell-like flowers, fragrant at night and early morning. Gets about 6'-8' tall, can be grown in sun or part shade, like a rich well drained soil, can bloom several times a year, each lasting several months. Related to Coffee & Gardenias (Rubiaceae), but it does look like a Brugmansia (Angels Trumpet) in the Solanaceae family and is often mistaken for one.
