Rainbow Gum, Mindanao Gum

A tropical Eucalyptus from the Philippines and unlike the more common gray leafed Australian species this one has green leaves, bronze tipped new growth, and a spectacular pink and green peeling bark. In the tropics it grows very vertically in dried climates it can be pruned to have a a broader crown. Full sun and regular water. Can grow to 30’ or up to 100' in an ideal climate. Grows very fast, up to 10' a year, especially if given plenty of water. Not very cold hardy, maybe just down to 33 F. Branches can be brittle like most Eucalyptus, best to plant away from structures.
